Perhaps now I better understand why for nine years I had often returned to again watch this seemingly preposterous yet always engaging film on cable TV or streaming. I was surprised to learn that much of the filming was made "Old School" - with actors physically doing most of the stunts on location (wires and cranes, etc.) rather than taking the easier route of resorting heavily to post production digital effects. And among the Special Features, Favreau's conversations with Producer's Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard as well as others with several main actors were all fascinating. The biggest treat was the fascinating commentary track from the Director Jon Favreau - one of the best I have come across. I mainly wanted to buy and view this for the Extended version and to compare that to the shorter Theatrical release, also included. ![]() Of course the Blu-Ray's Video and Audio presentation is excellent.
